This the the official blog of MACS Clinic (www.macsclinic.com), a specialty clinic for robotic & laparoscopic onco-surgery and oncology!
The clinic is centrally located at Jayanagar 4th Block, Bengaluru, with ease of transport from all directions.
This clinic is dedicated to laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgery.
Dr Sandeep Nayak as our chief minimal access cancer surgeon, we have performed most complicated cancer surgeries. We hope to continue in the same fashion to improve the lives of many more needy people. The team also includes medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, interventional radiology doctors, etc who take care of the respective needs of the patients. Dr Nayak also heads the department of surgical oncology at Fortis Hospitals, Bangalore.
Laparoscopic & robotic cancer surgery is one of the most technically advanced treatments available for cancer. When compared to conventional open surgery, laparoscopic cancer surgery reduces patients’ suffering by many folds and still provides the same or better cure.
Minimal Access Cancer Surgery (MACS) Clinic is located about 200 meters from Jayanagar Metro Station. The very idea of the clinic has been to promote the idea of minimal access in cancer surgery. The clinic is affiliated to hospitals with most modern and advanced technologies. Our team of coordinator and nurses are compassionate and provide support to both the patient and family.
The team lead by Dr Nayak has performed several advanced minimal access oncological procedures and have presented their work at many regional, national and international forums. The pioneering work of the team has been published in peer reviewed journals. Also, Dr Nayak was a teaching faculty at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru which is one of the leading teaching hospitals for oncology, treating more than 15,000 patients every year.
The team also includes Dr Suresh Babu, who is a medical oncologist of great reputation and Dr Anil Kumar, a radiation oncologist experienced in all types of radiation therapies.
MACS yearns to provide the advantage of minimal access cancer surgery to every cancer patient when technically feasible. The teams’ expertise in open as well as minimal access (robotic and laparoscopic) cancer surgery, allows them to choose the treatment best suited for a given patient. India being one of the most technologically advanced healthcare destinations also provides sate-of-the-art healthcare at relatively economical prices. Our focus has been education, early detection, lower morbidity and best possible cure. The team also holds regular ‘multidisciplinary tumor board’ to discuss complicated cases and provide multimodal treatment.
