Dr. Sandeep Nayak

Dr Nayak is a senior surgical oncologist (cancer surgeon) who specializes in diagnosing and treating people with cancerous or precancerous conditions. He is widely experienced in both open and minimal access cancer surgeries (laparoscopic and robotic). However, his keen interest is in minimal access surgery, which includes both robotic and laparoscopic cancer surgery, and he is dedicatedly worked in this field over the years and has trained many students in this field.

He has had his graduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral training from some of the leading medical colleges in India. In the medical career spanning from 1999, he has widely traveled and has worked in many centers of repute in India and abroad. He has a fellowship in laparoscopic & robotic cancer surgery and he is known for his skills in laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgery.

As a dedicated physician he gets tremendous satisfaction from meeting and talking to the patients, hearing their stories and providing comfort & solutions during what can be a scary time. He has found his passion in a profession that married both.

Dr Nayak is a Member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK and many other professional associations. He has authored many research articles in national and international journals. He has also contributed to many magazines. He has also presented award winning papers and invited lectures at medical conferences across the nation and has many scientific presentations to his credit.

Dr Nayak has also been bestowed with many accolades during his career in the field of Oncology. Dr Sandeep Nayak is one of the well respected and loved teaching faculties at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore.

Being a good orator and Dr Nayak has given numerous talks on cancer awareness and prevention at various forums. He has participated in several camps in association with NGOs like connect to heal and Indian cancer society. These nonprofit organizations have been doing sterling work in fighting cancer across India.

    Aside from his busy medical practice and surgeries he spends quality time on his inborn talent. Dr Nayak has always believed that surgery to be form of art. An art that heals patients. He believes that being an artist gives him great edge in performing complicated surgeries concentrating for hours at a go.

  • Colon Cancer: DE resection for colon cancer that has shown better cure rates in many Japanese studies.
  • Esophageal Cancer Surgery with 3 field lymphadenectomy for all these cancers which has better cure rates
